“We're willing to pay more for our lives to be better and the future to be better,” she told the newspaper.

Dr. Carmen Reagan, professor of marketing in the School of Business, was among the first to autograph a steel beam that will be placed atop the new Dunlop Lane hospital.

Reagan is chair of the Gateway Health System Board of Trustees. She and other dignitaries participated in a beam-signing ceremony held Jan. 23.

The Jan. 24, 2007, edition of The Leaf-Chronicle covered the event.
“This new hospital will certainly strengthen our overall economy, as well as it will attract newcomers, new services and new organizations to our community,” she stated in the article.
