Lady Govs softball coach suspension increased to three games

Austin Peay athletics has increased the suspension of Lady Govs softball coach Tara McCoy to three games after a review of last weekends ejection incident.

McCoy was ejected in the bottom of the fifth inning of last Sundays Ohio Valley Conference game with Eastern Kentucky. In accordance with the OVC sportsmanship policy, a first-time ejection from a league event results in a one-game suspension from the next OVC event.

However, in the process of the ejection review, other policy and rules violations were discovered, resulting in the additional two-game suspension.
