Lady Govs golf sits in 11th place at Louisville

Austin Peays womens golf team rests in 11th place after two rounds of the Napa River Grill Cardinal Cup.

The already short-handed Lady Govs, playing without freshman Cristina Lignarolo due to illness, shot rounds of 354 and 362 for a 716 total Monday at the Cardinal Club Golf Course. Georgia State is in first place with a 612 total, followed by South Florida at 618 in the 12-team field. Eastern Kentucky, the Lady Govs Ohio Valley Conference rival, is in ninth place with a 656 total.

Erin Wise, who led APSU a week ago in their season-opening tourney at Ball State, shot APSU's best score of the day, 82-88=170, for 48th place. Cristine Idoux is in 54th place with a 174 (90-84), followed by Pier-Ann LaChance (85-82=177) in 57th place, Amanda Rose 97-98=195 in 62nd and Candice Haefele (126-105=231) in 66th place.

The Louisville-hosted tourney's final round will be today.
