Lady Govs golf finishes in 12th-place tie at EKU

Austin Peays womens golf team continued to show improvement Saturday, April 17, resulting in a 12th-place tie at the Lady Colonel Spring Invitational.

The Lady Govs erased five shots from their previous total on Friday to shoot a final-day 333 and finish with a 1,014–tying Youngstown State for the 12th spot.

The Lady Govs erased five shots from their previous total on Friday to shoot a final-day 333 and finish with a 1,014—tying Youngstown State for the 12th spot.

Lynn Mantooth shot a final-day 81 to finish at 244, tying for 31st place. Freshman Amanda Rose also shot 81 on the final to finish at 256 (t/56th). Christine Idoux was APSU's second-best finisher with a 250 (t/56th) after shooting 84 on the final day. Erin Wise (t/70th) shot a final day 87 for a 264 total. Melanie Adams (284/t81st) shot 95 on Saturday.

Murray State ran away with the tourney, shooting a 919.

This was APSU's final tourney prior to the April 26-28 Ohio Valley Conference tourney in Paducah, Ky.
