Kennedy family donates Tennessee Walking Horse to APSU for auction

Local attorney Kevin Kennedy recently donated a registered Tennessee Walking Horse to Austin Peay. Appropriately named The Spirit of Austin Peay, the four-month-old colt will be auctioned Saturday evening, Aug. 2, in APSUs music/mass communication building.

As with all auction items, proceeds from the sale of the colt will be used to support APSU athletics.

The Kennedy Walking Horse Farm, Clarksville, has been raising show horses since 1900. Both Kennedy and his wife are APSU alumni, and their son, Kevin Jr., who was class valedictorian at Rossview High School in 2003, will be an APSU freshman this fall.
