Governors finish OVC tourney eighth

Austin Peay men's tennis finished eighth in the Ohio Valley Conference tennis championships completed April 18 at the Centennial Sportsplex in Nashville.

After the Govs lost the doubles point, they need to win four-of-six singles. The Govs won at No. 3 (Joao Pinho) and No. 5 (Wes Pancho) singles but lost at No. 1 (Marcos Quieroz) and No. 6 (Andrew Naidu) in straight sets. The Govs opportunity to win the match slipped away when Rodrigo Borges lost a difficult three-set match at No. 2 singles.
