Faculty represent University well

Faculty at Austin Peay State University recently brought recognition to the University through their professional, scholarly and personal development activities.

Dr. Najmul Abedin, professor in the department of public management, has had his article, titled "The Ombudsman in Developing Democracies: The Commonwealth Caribbean Experience," accepted for publication in an upcoming issue of The International Journal of Public Sector Management.

Dr. Najmul Abedin, professor in the department of public management, has had his article, titled "The Ombudsman in Developing Democracies: The Commonwealth Caribbean Experience," accepted for publication in an upcoming issue of The International Journal of Public Sector Management.

Dr. Tammy Shutt, assistant professor of education, has been named assistant editor of The Journal of Interdisciplinary Education, a peer-reviewed journal of the North American chapter of the World Council for Curriculum and Instruction.

Nancy Gibson, assistant professor and instructional technology librarian, and Philenese Slaughter, assistant professor and instructional services coordinator, are members of the Tennessee State Library and Archives' newly formed TEL Training Committee. This committee is the advisory body for the Tennessee Electronic Library (TEL) training outreach.

Dr. Stephen Truhon, associate professor of psychology, had his biographical sketch of Robert Val Guthrie, noted educator and psychologist, published in the African American National Biography.
