Lipscomb University has changed its honor code after an anonymous student survey showed nearly half of students admitted cheating. The university is shifting the burden of catching cheaters to its professors. (Associated Press, 9/7/04)

According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, burglary at Tennessee Tech has jumped from two cases in 2001 to 38 in 2003. Over those two years, larceny and theft increased 33 percent at Tennessee State University, 16 percent at APSU and 8 percent at Middle Tennessee State University. (Associated Press, 9/6/04)
