According to Austin Peay Director of Admissions Scott McDonald, Middle Tennessee State University is changing its admissions requirements. Beginning in Fall 2004, applicants must meet a Feb. 15 application deadline for priority admission. He says, “They have a second priority deadline of July 1 or when the undergraduate enrollment capacity is reached. Applications received after these dates will be placed on wait-list status.” Students must meet all 14 unit requirements plus one of the following: a minimum 3.0 GPA, minimum composite ACT of 22, minimum 2.7 GPA and minimum ACT of 19 and/or satisfy the NCAA standards for student athletes.

The Middle Tennessee State University employee who accused President Sidney McPhee of sexual harassment has until Nov. 24 to respond to the state's stand that her complaint is a matter of public record (and it has no reason to protect her identity). Meanwhile, the Tennessee Board of Regents is investigating her allegations. (The Tennessean, Nov. 13, 2003)
