Community School of the Arts presents recitals, concerts

The Community School of the Arts at Austin Peay State University will present a day of recitals and concerts involving local youth on Saturday, May 5 in the Music/Mass Communication Building Concert Hall.

The student recitals will showcase violinists, pianists, singers, guitarists and other instrumentalists of all ages. The recitals are scheduled for 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. and at 3 p.m., 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. The recitals are free and open to the public.

In addition to the recitals, the Community School of the Arts will present the Clarksville Youth Ensembles in concert at 1 p.m. The Clarksville Youth Orchestra, Youth Chorus and Teen Singers comprise some of the area's most talented young musicians, who will present a fun and varied spring program.

Admission to the Youth Ensembles concert is $5 for adults; APSU students and others younger than 18 are admitted free. Ticket proceeds will benefit the ensembles in their future endeavors.
