Clarksville Edelweiss Club announces scholarship winner

Lewis Lujan, a German major at Austin Peay State University, has been selected to receive the Clarksville Edelweiss Club Scholarship for 2009-10.

Lujan is a junior from Clarksville. Upon graduating, he wants to work for the U.S. State Department.

The Clarksville Edelweiss Club Scholarship grants $500 to one recipient per year. To qualify, students must be German majors or minors at APSU.

The Clarksville Edelweiss Club is a not-for-profit organization established by the state of Tennessee in 1981 to uphold and promote German heritage and tradition. Members are of German and American descent although guests from all ethnicities are welcome. The club meets at 7 p.m. every second Wednesday of the month.
