Campus preps for AP Day, Nov. 15

November 4, 2003

AP Day is almost here. Hundreds of high school juniors and seniors, their parents and community college students will be on campus Nov. 15.

It gives students the opportunity to gain a full understanding of what APSU has to offer, says Dr. Joe Filippo, assistant vice president for academic affairs. Its a nice opportunity to get to know more about the institution in an informal setting. Students also have an opportunity to meet those who will be able to help them during their academic careers.

AP Day is almost here. Hundreds of high school juniors and seniors, their parents and community college students will be on campus Nov. 15.

“It gives students the opportunity to gain a full understanding of what APSU has to offer,” says Dr. Joe Filippo, assistant vice president for academic affairs. “It's a nice opportunity to get to know more about the institution in an informal setting. Students also have an opportunity to meet those who will be able to help them during their academic careers.”

High school students will attend sessions on academics, financial aid, student services, student organizations, admissions, scholarships, residence life and commuter life.

Admissions Director Scott McDonald says, “This is an excellent way to showcase our campus and academic programs to hundreds of prospective students. Faculty plays a major role in this event, and the Admissions Office would like to thank each one of them for their participation.”
