Brass Quintet to perform as part of alumni college tour

The Brass Quintet for the Army Ground Forces at Fort McPherson, Ga., is performing at the alma maters of the groups members – and one of the five earned his degree at Austin Peay State University.

The Brass Quintet will perform in concert at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 18 in the Music/Mass Communication Building Concert Hall.

The performance is sponsored by the APSU Department of Music. Admission is free, and the concert is open to the public.

The quintet is traveling to the colleges and universities where each of the five members attended. The group will make a stop at the University of Tennessee before coming to APSU, where member Joe Heaton ('98) earned an associate degree in music.
