Austin Peay State University will host a basketball coaching clinic, Friday-Saturday, Nov. 7-8, in the Dunn Center.

The clinic will feature both Austin Peay men's head coach Dave Loos and new women's head coach Andy Blackston and their respective staffs, plus Don Meyer, the former Lipscomb coaching legend who is now head coach at Northern State, a Division II power located in Aberdeen, S.D. Loos, three-time Ohio Valley Coach of the Year, is a longtime friend of Meyer while Blackston, who revived Alabama-Huntsville women's program in just two short years, played for Meyer at Lipscomb.

The clinic will begin 4 p.m., Friday, Nov. 7, with registration. Instruction will begin at 4:30 p.m. with the coaching staffs of both APSU programs and Northern State's all handling sessions until 9 p.m.

Registration for Saturday-only participants will be from 8-9 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 8 before classroom instruction begins at 9 a.m. with all three staffs conducting sessions. After lunch, Meyer and his staff plus Loos and his will move to an on-floor setting. The clinic also will feature weight-training instruction to wrap up the afternoon.

Clinic participants will receive complimentary tickets to Saturday's doubleheader exhibition games featuring the 5:15 p.m. Lady Govs vs. Christian Brothers women's game followed by the men's contest featuring the Govs vs. Northern State

Cost for the clinic will be $30 for both days or $10 for Friday or $20 for Saturday. Participants also will receive a clinic notebook, a social Friday night plus breakfast and lunch Saturday in addition to complimentary games admission.
