APSU'S Brass Ensembles in concert March 22

Austin Peay State Universitys Brass Ensembles will perform in concert at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 22 in the Music/Mass Communication Building Concert Hall.

The Brass Ensembles consist of the Horn Ensemble conducted by Francis Massinon, professor of music, and the Brass Quintet I and II coached by Bernard H. Flythe, assistant professor of music.

The concert will showcase the different instrumentation of the brass family through performances of chamber music written as early as 1684, says Flythe.

“This concert will be a great opportunity for the community to hear the talented brass musicians in the APSU music department.”

The admission-free concert is sponsored by the Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts and the APSU Department of Music.
