APSU Symphony Orchestra performs with conductor Douglas Droste

Austin Peays music department presents an afternoon of music with the APSU Symphony Orchestra and Douglas Droste.

The performance will begin at 4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 5, in the concert theatre of the music/mass communication building.

Featuring APSU pianist, Dr. Jeffrey Wood, the APSU Symphony Orchestra will perform Rossinis Overture to La Gazza Ladra, Brahms Piano Concerto No. 1 in D Minor and Chadwicks Symphonic Sketches.

Austin Peay's music department presents an afternoon of music with the APSU Symphony Orchestra and Douglas Droste.

The performance will begin at 4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 5, in the concert theatre of the music/mass communication building.

Featuring APSU pianist, Dr. Jeffrey Wood, the APSU Symphony Orchestra will perform Rossini's “Overture to La Gazza Ladra,” “Brahms' Piano Concerto No. 1 in D Minor” and Chadwick's “Symphonic Sketches.”

An assistant professor at APSU, Droste conducts the orchestra and teaches violin and viola. He performs frequently with the Nashville Symphony Orchestra and other regional ensembles.
