APSU student appointed TISL treasurer during conference

One Austin Peay State University student is immersing himself in governmenton campus and statewide.

Christopher Drew, Clarksville, was appointed treasurer of the Tennessee Intercollegiate State Legislature (TISL) during the recent annual conference in Nashville.

Drew is one of only nine undergraduate students in the state of Tennessee to be selected to serve on the TISL Executive Board for the 2008 calendar year. Last year, Drew was named secretary of state for TISL.

Christopher Drew, Clarksville, was appointed treasurer of the Tennessee Intercollegiate State Legislature (TISL) during the recent annual conference in Nashville.

Drew is one of only nine undergraduate students in the state of Tennessee to be selected to serve on the TISL Executive Board for the 2008 calendar year. Last year, Drew was named secretary of state for TISL.

At APSU, Drew is the secretary of the Student Government Association, a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon and serves as a resident assistant in Miller Hall. He is a junior, majoring in business with a concentration in finance.

For more than three generations, TISL has provided thousands of students with a hands-on education about Tennessee state government and with a forum to express their opinions on state issues.
