APSU salutes America's veterans Nov. 11

The University is honoring veterans with a special Veterans Day lunch and presentation Thursday, Nov. 11.

Professors are authorized to dismiss classes from 11:10 a.m.-12:35 p.m. that day to participate in the ceremony in the University Center lobby.

The APSU Salutes Americas Veterans celebration will include a free buffet lunch beginning at 11 a.m. The presentation will begin at 11:15 a.m., with the announcement of colors by Lt. Col. James Bird and posting of colors by the APSU ROTC Color Guard.

Brig. Gen. Michael Oates will deliver the Veterans Day address at 11:30 a.m.

Attendees also can expect musical performances by the Phi Mu Alpha Choir, APSU Brass Quintet and Dr. Thomas King, professor of music.
