The Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts and the department of music will present the University's annual Holiday Choral Concert.

The concert begins at 3 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 5, in the music/mass communication building concert theatre.

The University Choir and the Chamber Singers, directed by Dr. Karen Kenaston-French, will perform familiar holiday favorites, as well as lesser-known pieces. Highlights will include a festival processional to the medieval carol “Personent Hodie” and performances by APSU faculty members Richard Steffen, trumpet, and Dr. Ted Jones, harp.

During the concert, the audience will be invited to sing time-honored carols with the choirs before the dedication of poinsettias donated by APSU faculty and staff.

Early arrivers will be treated to seasonal music in the lobby performed by the First Presbyterian Church handbell choir.

Admission is free and open to the public.
