APSU hosts College and Career Event for Adults April 23

If you know someone whos been thinking about returning to college or perhaps changing careers, tell him or her about APSUs free, three-hour College and Career Event for Adults on Saturday, April 23, in the Morgan University Center.

Check-in, registration and a continental breakfast begin at 8:30 a.m. outside the ballroom on the third floor. Along with instructions on the mornings activities, there will be welcoming remarks by APSU President Sherry Hoppe at 9 a.m. in room 310. At 9:30 a.m. APSU alumnus and popular motivational speaker Fred Landiss, senior vice president and director of marketing and public relations for F and M Bank, Clarksville, will present “Being a Survivor in Tomorrow's Workplace.”
Following his talk, Carol Clark, special assistant to the president of APSU and a graduate student in the Corporate Communication Program, will give a brief testimonial on being a nontraditional student at Austin Peay.

From 10-11 a.m. in room 307 staff from APSU's Career and Advisement Office, will administer a free, career-assessment test for anyone wanting to find out what careers mesh best with his or her interests.

Participants will have an opportunity to talk with faculty from all departments between 11-11:30 a.m. in room 303.

At 11:30 a.m., guests are invited to return to room 310, where they will have an opportunity to choose a campus tour or talk with representatives from the offices of Admissions, Financial Aid and the Educational Opportunity Center.

Door prizes will be given away throughout the morning, and refreshments will be provided.
