APSU Circle of ODK National Leadership Honor Society named Circle of Distinction

The Austin Peay State University Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa, the national leadership honor society, was named a Circle of Distinction for the second consecutive year.

APSU was among 18 of 315 total circles recognized nationally for overall excellence during the 2008-09 academic year.

The APSU circle was presented with a certificate to illustrate the achievement.

Student Government Association President Chris Drew serves as president of the APSU circle. Greg Singleton, dean of students, is the faculty secretary.

For membership into ODK, students must demonstrate high standards of leadership and academic merit in any of the following areas: scholarship, athletics, campus and community service, social and religious activities, campus government, journalism, speech and the mass media and creative and performing arts.
