Conducted by Dr. Karen Kenaston-French, assistant professor of music, and Debra Lee Reardon, graduate conductor, the concert will be held at 7:30 p.m., Monday, Dec. 5 in the music/mass communication building concert hall.

The concert will include music from the APSU Chamber Singers along with special guests, the Dickson County High School Chamber Singers. The APSU choir will be accompanied by adjunct faculty member and director of the Community School of the Arts Elizabeth Wolynec on piano.
Kenaston-French says, “We are really thrilled to have the Dickson County High School Chamber Singers performing on the program with us. They are one of the best high school choirs in the state.

“Their directors, Cindy Freeman and Michael Meise, are alumni of APSU.”

The APSU Chamber Singers will premiere a new piece titled, “Three by Emily,” a set of three songs on poems by Emily Dickinson, composed by Dr. George Mabry, professor of music.

“The program includes a huge variety of music, much of which has a holiday theme to get people into the spirit (of the season),” says Kenaston-French.

The concert is free and open to the public.
