APSU announces new key administrators

Austin Peay State University officials announce the appointments of three people to key administrative positions.

Donna Price has been tapped director of Student Financial Aid and Veterans Affairs. Heidi Scheusner leads the Office of Student Life and Leadership as director, and Telaina Wrigley is the registrar.

Donna Price has been tapped director of Student Financial Aid and Veterans Affairs. Heidi Scheusner leads the Office of Student Life and Leadership as director, and Telaina Wrigley is the registrar.

All three began their new positions recently.

Since 2003, Price has been interim director of APSU's financial aid office. Previously, she worked in the University's Office of Admissions, where she started in July 1991 as office supervisor and later served associate director.

Price is a member of the American Association of College Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO), the National Association for College Admission Counseling, the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators and other professional organizations throughout the state and region.

Price has a Master of Science in Health Services Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration, both from APSU.

Scheusner comes to APSU from Lynchburg (Va.) College, a private college where she served four years as director of student activities and leadership programs.

From August 2000 to May 2002, she was a student activities graduate adviser at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, where she also worked in other positions. Prior to that, she was with the State University of New York-Cortland and the University of Memphis.

Scheusner is a member of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators and the American College Personnel Association.

Scheusner has a Master of Arts in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication from Moorhead (Minn.) State University.

For more than a year, Wrigley was interim registrar and previously was assistant registrar from November 2003-May 2005. She began her career at APSU in September 1997 as admissions and records clerk. Beginning in 1991, Wrigley worked five years as an avionics flight systems repairer, training pilots and technicians for the U.S. Army.

A member of AACRAO, Wrigley holds memberships in the Southern Association of College Registrars and Admissions Officers (SACRAO) and Tennessee Association of College Registrars and Admissions Officers (TACRAO).

Wrigley has a master's degree in management from Troy (Ala.) State University, bachelor's from APSU and associate degree from Ball State University in Muncie, Ind. — Melony Leazer
