UREC & the Physics Department will host the 2nd Annual Water Balloon Battleship, Friday, Sept. 11, 5 -8 pm, at McGregor Park/Riverfest. Teams will compete to hit targets using water balloon launchers. Water balloon launchers will be provided, but teams are welcome to build their own launchers based on mechanical principals. This is a free event and registration will take place at the event.

Mudbowl 2015 applications are now available. Entry fee is $50 per team and you can enter in either the male, female or co-ed divisions. Hurry, applications are limited to the first 64 teams! More information can be found online through the SGA website. Mudbowl will take place on Sunday, September 27th from 12:30-5 p.m.

Proposals are now being accepted for the E^3 Explore Activities Grant, an internal grant opportunity available to faculty, staff and students. Grant applicants are able to apply for funds to create or expand upon high-impact activities that directly relate to the E^3 Initiative. Guidelines and proposal forms can be found at the link below. Deadline for proposals is Sept. 14.

Applications are now being accepted for The Washington Center (www.twc.edu) internship program for the Spring 2016 semester. Students must have junior standing or above and at least a 3.25 GPA. This program is open to students from all majors. Students earn 12 credit hours and spend the semester in Washington, D.C. Some scholarships are available. If interested, contact Dr. Kenney by September 18.

National Run @ Work Day will be held Friday, September 18th this year! This annual event is sponsored by the Road Runners Club of America and is an initiative to get people active during their work day. The APSU Run @ Work Day will be a short run/walk around campus, sponsored by University Recreation, beginning at noon, and it is free to participate! For more info contact University Recreation.

Beginning August 22 the Foy Fitness and Recreation Center will have the following operating hours: Monday - Thursday, 6 a.m. - 10 p.m.; Friday, 6 a.m. - 8 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. ; Sunday, Noon - 10 p.m.

When sending flyers or postcards to be printed, send the file as a PDF. When you save the document change the "save type as" setting to "PDF". Also, make sure that the document is the FINAL SIZE of what you would like. Example: if you would like a 5x7 postcard, create the document in a 5x7 format. If you would like handbills, size them 4.25x5.5. Our software can place them 4 to a sheet.
