You will submit parts of your laboratory homework assignments through D2L and receive on-line grading for your work. I suggest you print out this schedule as a reminder of the homework due dates. Keep it with you Lab Manual.
Before you begin answer entry on D2L, you should write down the correct answers in your lab manual. There are several reasons for having the answers already written down in you lab manual: (1) It will make data entry on D2L simpler and faster; (2) It will make it easier for you to check your work when it is graded; and (3) It will be much easier to study the material in the lab manual when you begin to study for the lab practical exams.
Notes:
1. You will not be given credit for answers spelled
incorrectly!
2. For multiple choice questions, you may enter the letter of the choice
or you may enter the whole word. However, if you enter the whole word you
must enter the complete word or phrase as shown in the list of answers from the
lab manual.
3. If you disagree with an answer, you can e-mail your question to me at
thompsonj@apsu.edu. Be sure to
identify completely the question to which you are referring and the alternate
answer you think is correct, but which was graded as incorrect.
For example, "In Lab Assignment 1, D2L Question 9: Exercise 30 (Anatomy of the Heart) Question 2: 5, I think answer "so-and-so" should also be counted as correct."
[You can cut and paste the information highlighted in color above about the question along with your answer from the Blackboard question itself.]
If I agree, I will change the key so all students can get a point for the additional correct answer possibility.
Use the on-line lab syllabus accessed through APSU D2L which provides links to the weekly lab guides you will need to read prior to attending each week's lab.
APSU's D2L Learning System
Reminder: You will need to use the D2L Learning System software at APSU. You can access it at this web address: https://elearn.apsu.edu/. Your new username will be your own student number (like A0007007). You must look up this sequence number in APWeb for Students. The password is the same one that you use for APMAIL. Your full SSN serves as your initial password. Please type your full SSN, with no spaces, hyphens or slashes. There is an orientation program for this software that you might find useful. It is at: http://www.apsu.edu/ext_ed/studentfaculty/studentd2l.htm. You will submit parts of your laboratory homework assignments through D2L and receive on-line grading for your work. Note: You will not be given credit for answers spelled incorrectly!
