Submissions

Zone 3 publishes fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction. We are currently accepting online submissions through our submission manager. For poetry, we prefer that you submit no more than 4-6 poems, for nonfiction no more than one essay, for fiction no more than one story. All submissions should be uploaded as ONE .doc or .rtf file. Any hard copy submissions should be typed, double-spaced, and include your name and address. Please enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE) for our response. Although we have no absolute word limits, we seldom publish a piece that is more than 5,000 words in length. We will consider novel excerpts. Send submissions to:

Please allow 2-4 months for a reply. Summer submissions may take longer. Zone 3 does accept simultaneous submissions, but please notify us right away if the work has been accepted elsewhere. Please note that all rejected manuscripts will be recycled.
