Welcome is a one-day event during which
you’ll register for classes, ask questions, learn how to get
involved, get a student ID card and become familiar with
academic resources and support services. Attendance is
mandatory if you’re a first-time freshman. You’re a
first-time freshman if you’re coming to APSU with fewer than 12
college credit hours.
Your parents and family members can affect
your success as a student tremendously. With that in mind,
we’ve developed Welcome sessions especially for them. Due to the nature of Welcome,
children should not attend.
Welcome is offered on several dates. The
sooner you attend, the better selection of classes that will be
available to you. You – and any family member who wishes to
attend – can register for Welcome at the Web address listed in
the Welcome brochure mailed to your home address.
If you’ve lost your brochure or have questions, call the
Office of New Student Programs at (931) 221-7045 or e-mail
Melissa Gomez, director of new student programs.
Attending Welcome
Once you have registered for a Welcome
session you should plan to arrive, on your Welcome date, at
noon. You will check in at the Morgan University Center. You will register for classes and all events should wrap up between
3:30-4 p.m.
See you in January! |
