The lab is located on the 3rd floor of the Clement building in a suite of experimental lab rooms. There is one main room, 5 satellite rooms for setting up equipment and running experiments or for use in the lab class and a small shop for building things and a test-bed for experiments.
These facilities were outfitted in part thanks to a
generous
grant from the National
Science Foundation which enabled purchase of a photometer, sound
level meter, oscilloscope, and other small pieces of equipment.
The APSU Technology Access Fee (TAF fund) purchased the 8
Dell computers that the lab is built around and keeps them on a 3-year
replacement schedule. The TAF fund also makes possible the use of
MATLAB and several add-on toolboxes.
