Services Offered by Veterans Upward Bound

Veterans Upward Bound prepares veterans for college, technical school, or the GED exam, no matter how long it has been since they have been in school. All services are FREE to eligible veterans.

Academic Services

• Instruction in math, algebra, English, reading, lab science, foreign language, spelling and vocabulary
• Seminars in computer literacy and study skills
• GED preparation

Counseling Services

• Personal educational counseling and goal setting
• Career counseling
• Financial aid counseling
• Postsecondary school admission assistance
• Tours of college campuses

Cultural events (may include events such as the following)

• Tickets to university events, such as plays
• Field trips to off-campus events, such as museums, historical sites, or special performances
