VA Tutorial Assistance Program
-
VA Vocational Rehabilitation (CH 31)
students must first make
arrangements with Academic Support Center in the
Morgan University Center, Room 114. If a tutor
is not available, you will need to obtain
documentation from Academic Support Center and
then make an
appointment with the appropriate OVA counselor.
-
All students must
complete the
Tutorial Internal
Recommendation Form provided by the
OVA. This form must be signed and
dated by the instructor of the course the student
requests tutoring for and is submitted to the OVA,
in order to validate the need for tutoring.
VA Vocational Rehabilitation (CH 31)
students must also notify their VA Vocational
Rehabilitation Counselor.
-
The student
must complete
VA
Form 22-1990t. This is the form on which
the student will record the dates tutoring was received and the monetary cost of each
tutoring session. This form must be completed and signed by
both the student and the tutor.
-
VA Vocational Rehabilitation (CH 31)
students must submit
the completed
VA Form
22-1990t to Ms.
Joyce Walker, Accounting
Services, Business Office located in the Browning
Building. All other chapters must return the 1990t to the OVA.
The student is responsible for ensuring the tutor
is paid the contracted amount for the tutoring
services.
-
The maximum individual
tutoring service will be forty-eight (48) clock
hours per trainee subject per term, at a maximum
hourly rate for actual
service rendered of $10 to $12 per
hour, not to exceed $100 per term.
-
Students are responsible for
obtaining a tutor who meets the eligibility
requirements listed on the
Tutorial Assistance
Internal Recommendation Form. OVA does
not supply a list of available tutors.
