Conference Application

If you plan to attend the TPA conference, send your check made out to “TPA” to Professor John McLaughlin, 158 Main Street, Department of English, Freed-Hardeman University, Henderson, TN 38340-2399.

The deadline for submitting papers is November 18, 2014. Note: the deadline has been extended to November 21.

The Regular Conference Fee is $25; the Student Conference Fee is $15; the Banquet is $25.

Note to undergraduate students: You must submit your entry to the undergraduate competition through your academic organization. Do not complete or submit this form, but instead contact your Sigma Tau Delta or other adviser for the correct submission process. You may write TPA Secretary Prof. Thomas Alan Holmes ( for more information.

Although this year’s theme is the novel, the TPA welcomes presentation proposals in any of the areas listed. Please check the category your presentation best fits.

Attention all student applicants:

E-mail a complete copy of your paper and a professor’s letter of recommendation to both TPA Secretary Prof. Thomas Alan Holmes ( and TPA Bulletin Editor Prof. Katherine Rehyansky (  Your proposal will not be considered without the full paper and the recommendation.  Use the e-mail address you have supplied, and refer to your paper by the title you have supplied.  Undergraduate students may submit a paper only through TPA's undergraduate research competition; contact your Sigma Tau Delta or other adviser for information.

Indicate any audio-visual or other media request -- for example, "Computer and projector," "Projector and computer cable (I will bring my laptop)," or "None."
