T.O.Y.S.

T.O.Y.S (Theatre Organization for Youth by Students) is Austin Peay’s student led organization focusing on children’s theatre. Our goal is to provide both entertaining and appropriate theatre for young people, while creating opportunities to perfect and achieve our own theatrical goals.

As a member of TOYS, one can gain hands-on experience in directing, playwriting, and designing (lights, scenic, costumes, & make-up), as well as gaining experience performing onstage in one of our productions. We also plan to attend various conferences, including, but not limited to TN Theatre Association, and the Southeastern Theatre Conference.

Philanthropy is an important mission for TOYS, and we have plans to host toy drives, volunteer to read at local libraries and schools, and produce economical shows that travel to local schools.
