Christopher Bailey, an Evansville, IN native, is a singer, composer, music director, and audio engineer.
His original pop-musical theatre work THE PIER debuted in February of 2012. THE PIER is a song cycle music theatre work for six singers that takes place on a pier in Seaside, FL. The show features inspiration from pop, folk, musical theatre, and adult contemporary music while telling a story of six singers who share a season of their careers with one another.
He currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Musical Theatre in Tennessee at Austin Peay State University in the Nashville area. Bailey holds a PhD in Fine Arts from Texas Tech University under the prestigious AT&T Chancellors Fellowship alongside Masters and Bachelors degrees in Voice Performance. He is the recipient of the ACSI Young Performing Artist of the Year Award and a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing.
