Christopher Bailey, an Evansville, IN native, is a singer, composer, and music director. 

Has sung professionally with Celtic Woman, Kristin Chenoweth, Disney Theatricals, Music Theatre International, and the Nashville Symphony. 

His original pop-musical theatre work THE PIER debuted in February of 2012. THE PIER is a song cycle music theatre work for six singers that takes place on a pier in Seaside, FL. The show features inspiration from pop, folk, musical theatre, and adult contemporary music while telling a story of six singers who share a season of their careers with one another.

He currently serves as an Associate Professor of Musical Theatre in Tennessee at Austin Peay State University in the Nashville area. Prior to this appointment, he taught at Valdosta State University, working on creative teams: …CHARLIE BROWN, CABARET 2011 & 2012, RAMONA QUIMBY, STATE FAIR, EMERGING ARTISTS SHOWCASE, FRESH TRACKS, THE WOULD-BE GENTLEMAN, FREE TO BE..., & PIPPIN.

Former and current students of Dr. Bailey are performing in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Disney Cruiselines, Missoula Childrens Theatre, Prairie Fire Childrens Theatre, Cumberland County Playhouse, The Alliance, Hershey Park, Rocky Mountain Playhouse, Flat Rock, and Norwegian Cruiselines, while others have successfully pursued graduate degrees at New York University, Savannah School of Art & Design, Oklahoma City Unversity, Texas Tech University, and Manhattan School of Music. 

Bailey holds a PhD in Fine Arts from Texas Tech University under the prestigious AT&T Chancellors Fellowship alongside Masters and Bachelors degrees in Voice Performance. He is the recipient of the ACSI Young Performing Artist of the Year Award and a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing.
