November 3, 2008
Applications will be due in UC 206

The Help an Elf Holiday Program is designed to assist
full-time, income
eligible APSU
students with holiday shopping by providing gifts for their children.
Recipients of the holiday gifts will be children of income
eligible APSU students currently enrolled for 12 hours or more.
This program is only for students who are not
participating in any other on- or off-campus holiday gift programs.
Submitting an application serves as authorization for the Student
Affairs Office to verify financial aid information through university
records and obtain program participation information from local agencies
who have similar programs.
Our goal is to provide assistance to as many families as possible, but
please note that priority will be given to first time
participants. The number of families assisted by this program
is contingent on the number of APSU groups, organizations, employees, or departments
available to adopt families. If there are not enough groups,
individuals, organizations, or departments available for all families to
be adopted, applicants will be notified.
All
applications will remain confidential. Applications
will be available in
the Student Affairs Office, Morgan University Center, room 206,
beginning on November 3. For further information,
please contact Student Affairs on campus at 7341.
The gifts for this program are provided by the generosity of APSU
faculty, staff and students. If you wish to adopt a family this
year, the deadline to adopt an elf family is November 19. Elves
will be available to adopt November 19.
