"How to" Leadership Series

Our monthly leadership workshops and seminars help to enhance the skills of the experienced leader and to introduce leadership qualities to emerging leaders. Regardless of your experience or level of involvement, these workshops will benefit you. Each session is facilitated by an APSU faculty/staff member or someone from the community. Some events have a limited number of spots, so make sure you RSVP as soon as they come available! An APSU ID is required to attend all events.

How to: Write

Resume Workshop - Tuesday, February 17th, 12:30pm - MUC 305

Join Student Life and Engagement, Career Services, and a local business leader in a "How to" on resume writing! Tips, tricks, examples, ideas, and best-practices will be shared. Each attendee will receive valuable insight from both a professional resume writer and a potential employer! Snacks and refreshments will be served.

Interview Workshop - Wednesday, February 18th, 11:30am - MUC 306

Student Life and Engagement teams up with Career Services and Aflac to bring a potential employer on campus to help students with their interview skills. Hear about "How to" best prepare answers, research the position and company, dress, and speak during your next interview. Snacks and refreshments will be served. 

How to: Eat

Professional Dining Savvy - Tuesday, March 31st, 12:30pm - MUC 305

Have you ever seen a table covered in silver ware and plates and wondered what everything was for? Let our expert talk you through "How to" eat, drink, speak, utilize all of the tableware, and sell yourself during a professional meal. A 4-course lunch will be served. Professional dress is required for this event. Space is limited, so preference will go to juniors and seniors. Don't forget to RSVP via the form on the left!

Student-Led Initiatives - Wednesday, April 8th, 1:00pm - UC and Center for Service Learning

So much of what our campus and community have to offer has come from the minds of students. Student Life and Engagement, along with the Center for Service Learning and Civic Engagement (CSLCE), will showcase a handful of the student-led initiatives that have made a difference on our campus. Attendees will also get a chance to see the new home of Service Learning at APSU.
