About the Food Pantry

Save Our Students (S.O.S.) Food Pantry

The SOS will be receiving a large donation containing many perishable items. Student's or staff who are in need of food are encouraged to come and take these items. This truck will be at the corner of Robb Ave and Marion St across from the Greek Village Thursday Sept. 5 from 9:00-11:00am. All items are available on a first come first serve basis to student faculty/staff with a current APSU ID.

Hours of Operation: Tuesdays: 9 am - 12 noon & Fridays: 12 noon - 4 pm

The S.O.S. Food Pantry supports Austin Peay State University's students through troubling times by helping fight hunger. The campus community supports and supplies the food pantry through donations. Students who find themselves in need can fill out the user request form and drop it off (MUC 211 or Emerald Hills 2C) or email it to sos@apsu.edu. Students will need their APSU student identification card to receive food.  Additional information can be found on our brochure & questions can be sent to willsa@apsu.edu

S.O.S. Mission Statement

The mission of the S.O.S. Food Pantry is to assist and provide supplement food to the needy at Austin Peay State University, who have been impacted by financial problems as a result of: unemployment (lay-offs & downsizing), divorce, disability, health, domestic violence, homelessness, disaster, rising cost of living. We gather, store and distribute goods to those who find themselves in time of special need and crisis. Our mission is based on a compassionate hand out and hand up as we respect the dignity of each person we serve.
