Valor Award

Presented to students who have shown action, belief and steadfastness while faced with adverse situations and have perservered and continued with their education at APSU.

Selection Criteria

Nominee is currently enrolled
Has overcome significant obstacles beyond those typical of everyday life and has continued in their pursuit of a degree
Is on track to graduate
Is successful academically
Is classified at least a junior but preferably a senior
Obstacles are of a nature that in many instances would cause a student to discontinue their studies
Although many students face obstacles while enrolled and are to be commended and supported, this award is intended for students who have matriculated successfully despite significant obstacles beyond most who would ultimately remain enrolled. This nomination should be made with the utmost thought for such unique and serious circumstances.
