Welcome Back
Series of social and educational activities to
welcome new and returning student to Austin Peay,
including food, fun, performers, novelty events,
educational speakers and seminars.
Constitution Day (Sept. 17)
A federal holiday that highlights the importance
of the United States Constitution, celebrated with
social and co-curricular activities to educate
students about living in a democratic society.
Dance Marathon (Spring '09)
An all-night social activity including food,
music, dance, fun and games to help raise awareness
of childhood cancer and to raise money for
Children's Miracle Network.
Homecoming (Fall '08)
Social activities including contests, speakers,
parties, pep rallies, cookouts and a parade for
students and alumni to celebrate the finale of the
Gov's football season.
Coming Home (Spring '09)
Social activities including contests, pep
rallies, fun and games to celebrate the finale of
the Gov's basketball season.
The AP Read (Each semester)
Each spring, the office selects a book that can be
read by the entire campus community. For one month,
special book club meetings convene to discuss the
selected book. During the kick-off program, free
copies of the book are distributed.
