Legislative Branch
Welcome to the Austin Peay State University Student
Government Association website. One of the greatest
resources to students
at APSU, traditional and non-traditional, is the
Student Government Association. The SGA serves as the
official liaison between the student body and the
administration. It is the official channel of
communication for all students and works to make your
college experience the best it can be.
The Senate exists in SGA to serve as the official
representation of all students. The Senate is the outlet
for individuals to let their voices be heard. Each
college is represented by Senators with majors in a
certain college, as well as each academic status being
represented by students at each classification. The
Senate discusses problems that students see at our
university and propose resolutions to deal with these
issues. We strive to be the voice of all students and to
improve the quality of campus life for all. Senate meets on Wednesdays
from 12:20 and the first ten minutes are always reserved
for students on campus who have comments or concerns
that need to be addressed. I look forward to
serving you this school year and welcome you contact any
of our outstanding Senators or myself about any issues
that interest you on campus!
Sincerely,
Steven Biter
SGA Vice
President
The legislative branch is comprised of the Senate. Representation
is approximately one senator for every 200 students in
their class (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior,
Graduate).
Every Wednesday at 12:20pm, the Senate meets in the
Morgan University Center.
Meetings are open to the A.P.S.U. community, with the first ten minutes open for
public comment.
