Students at Austin Peay can have their college paid for by the Air Force. Austin Peay has a crosstown agreement with Air Force Det 790. Full time students attending Austin Peay can enroll in Air Force ROTC at TSU as crosstown students and attend a once weekly ROTC class at TSU. If students are then chosen for a scholarship they will have their tuition at Austin Peay paid, book money each semester, and a monthly stipend. John E. Mayfield Endowed Scholarship

Dickson Renaissance Center

Applicants should be enrolled in the APSU Bachelor of Business Administration, Management Concentration program at the Renaissance Center in Dickson, Tennessee, however other majors will be considered. Preference will be given to residents of White Bluff, TN., and then to residents of Dickson County, TN> Applicants must be a full-time APSU student (12 or more hours) with at least six hours taken at the Dickson Renaissance Center. A minimum GPA of 2.5 is preferred. The scholarship may be renewed if the student maintains a GPA of 2.5 or greater and meets all other APSU requirements for full-time students and completes the APSU online scholarship application.

Cameron Ford Watts Scholarship

Established by the family of Cameron Ford Watts, who passed away in 1993, this endowed scholarship provides a $1,000 annual award to a student registered with the Office of Disability Services. Gifts from numerous family members and friends created this endowment which is the first scholarship at Austin Peay designated specifically for a student with a disability. LeRoy C. Parks Civitan Scholarship

Established in 2002, the recipient of this scholarship must be registered in the Office of Disability Services and have a minimum GPA of 2.5/statement required on disability impact on education goals and personal goals for future. Applications will be reviewed by a committee from the Clarksville Downtown Civitan Club. Initial awards will be $900 annually and there is an endowment started by Civitan to fund the scholarship. AASAF Scholarship

With the rising text books and school supply costs, the African American Staff, Administrators and Faculty Association (AASAF) is dedicated to addressing this need by providing financial assistance to our future leaders who are studying and preparing for careers in various disciplines. Beginning Fall 2010, the AASAF Book and Supplies Scholarship Program will award scholarships to students, helping them gain the education they need to succeed while at Austin Peay State University. Each scholarship awarded will provide assistance for these students to purchases text books and school supplies at the APSU Bookstore. A minimum GPA of 2.5 and a recommendation letter from any AASAF member is required. Selection is made by the General Scholarship Committee. Charlie Baker Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded by the Valley District Civitan Foundation and provides $1,000 ($500 per semester) to the recipient. Applicants must be enrolled at Austin Peay State University and either an undergraduate or a graduate student. Applicants do not have to be working toward a degree certifying them to work with persons with disabilities; however, special consideration will be given to such applicants. The application consists of 3 parts -- 1) personal information 2) part to be completed by a school representative 3) part to be completed by the sponsoring Civitan Club. The deadline to apply is March 1. Awards are made for a period of one academic school year. Recipients may apply for a second year. Recipients will be announced at the spring Valley District Civitan meeting.

This scholarship is sponsored by the NAACP College Chapter and is open to all Austin Peay students with preference given to Association members. Awards are made on a one-time basis, but recipients may reapply. The award amount is $200 per semester for textbooks. The recipient should be able to document unmet financial aid need and be enrolled on a full-time basis. Application Deadlines: November 30th for spring semester and April 30th for fall semester.

The Kappa Rho Alpha Kappa Alpha graduate advisor will select the recipient of the Glistine Jones Scholarship. The student must be an undergraduate with at least a 3.0 GPA. The recipient must have campus involvement and a financially active member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority.

This scholarship will fund tuition costs for selected academic courses on a part-time basis up to $1,500 annually for active and retired Trane employees with ten years of service. Award may be made to a spouse or child but first priority will be given to active employees and then to retired employees. A minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA is required for retention in this program. This scholarship will provide one $1,500 academic scholarship annually. Selection by the University Scholarship Committee will be based on academic potential. Priority order will be given to children of active Trane employees, to children of retired employees, active employees, then retired employees with at least ten years of service. For a new freshman, a minimum high school GPA of 3.0 and a minimum ACT Composite score of 20 is required. A minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA is required for retention while enrolled in at least 12 hours. If no qualified applicant is identified, award may be made to a spouse of an active or retired employee. May be awarded to recipient until successful undergraduate graduation, but not longer than five years. Heidi Leming Hispanic Cultural Center Scholarship

This scholarship was created in honor of Heidi Leming, former director of Student Life and Leadership. Heidi was instrumental in applying for a diversity access grant through the Tennessee Board of Regents and secured $13,000 to start a peer mentor program for Hispanic Students on campus as well as several other programs to bring greater awareness to Hispanic issues. The recipient will receive $500 for the year to go towards tuition and books. The recipient must have a 2.5 cumulative GPA and is requested to participate in at least 3 events held by the Hispanic Cultural Center.

The Clarksville Sunrise Rotary Club supports The Rotary Foundation's ultimate goal of world understanding and peace by establishing a study abroad scholarship for qualified Austin Peay State University students. The goals of the scholarship are to: * Increase awareness of and respect for cultural differences by sending APSU students to study in a different country and integrate their experiences into community enrichment programs * Encourage students to dedicate their personal and professional lives to improving the quality of life for the people of their home community and country. * Develop leaders who can address the humanitarian needs of the world community * Foster a lifelong association between Rotary and its scholarship recipients. The scholarship award is a maximum of $1,000 per year. Student must have a strong academic background and have achieved at least a cumulative 2.5 GPA at the time of application. Student must submit a letter detailing his/her reasons for studying abroad and how they plan to use their experiences for the betterment of local and world-wide communities. Student must also present a resume listing any leadership experience, community service activities, special recognitions, and achievements. Preference will be given to applicants who have not already participated in a study abroad experience.

Jennifer Lynn Vick Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship, established in 1982 in memory of Jennifer Lynn Vick, daughter of APSU alumni Bob and Jearldene (Bogard) Vick, is administered by the APSU National Alumni Association. Funds for the scholarship are provided by contributions from friends and relatives of the Vick family. The recipient of this scholarship must be in need of financial assistance and maintain a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA. Students must complete a minimum of 12 hours per semester with a 5 hour a week work assignments at the Pace Alumni Center at Emerald Hill. Candlelight Ball Scholarship

This scholarship is open to entering freshmen and current APSU students. Recipient must be full-time and have minimum GPA of 3.0. Recipient will be required to work 10 hours on events. A one to two page essay on the importance of volunteerism and one letter of recommendation (preferably from a teacher or professor) are require.
