Academic Scholarship Service Hour Requirement

Academic Scholarships service placement information:

The following scholarships require service hours:

• Presidential
• Dean's Scholarship
• President's Community College
• Howell C. Smith
• Luther Tippit
• Valedictorian/Salutatorian

For Academic Scholarship placement:

Incoming freshman students will receive their placement information through their AP email account prior to the start of the fall semester.  Tihs email will provide the contact information for the department supervisor they have been assigned to. It will also prompt the student to complete the required online scholarship contract.

Continuing students will remain in the departments they were originally placed in throughout the duration of their scholarship.  A student may request to transfer to another department at the end of the semester if he/she is dissatsified in the current placement.  Request are made to the Scholarship Coordinator in the Office of Student Financial Aid & Veterans Affairs.
