The Felix G. Woodward Library enters the 21st Century as a dynamic and vital entity. As the Library pursues its primary focus of collecting, organizing, housing, preserving, and making materials available, it strives to become the very hub of the University community and its information systems. Although dedicated to technological progress, the Library is user-driven, focusing not on process but on end results, the needs of users. Foremost among its functions is teaching and the provision of information literacy opportunities to all levels of the University community, in order to equip its members with the skills needed to be competent life-long learners. In addition, it explores innovative mechanisms for obtaining and delivering all formats of information. Through collaboration and a shared sense of responsibility, the Library's internal organization and physical facilities are tailored to foster the ambiance required to make this vision a reality.
