    Developing caring and resourceful leaders within organizations and communities.

  • Unit Objectives for Fiscal Year 2002-03

    Objective 1.0 To establish Leadership Studies as an academic unit with a mission, budget, staff, and curriculum.  
    Objective 1.1 Develop external funding for scholarships and extra curricular activities  
    Objective 2.0 Expand the opportunities for any student at APSU to learn about leadership.  
    Objective 2.1 Add web based sections of Leadership 3000  
    Objective 3.0 Continue intellectual development and contributions relative to Leadership.  
    Objective 4.0 Promote opportunities to learn about leadership for employees of APSU and members of the Clarksville community.

    New initiatives, activities or programs from the 2002-03 academic year.
    A new leadership minor was developed and implemented, including two new required courses and a new special project elective. Five new web-based sections of LDSP 3000 were scheduled.  A recommendation was presented and approved to shift the Leadership Studies program from Enrichment Programs to the School of Business.

    A new library budget and collection was established.

    Eighteen students attended a meeting of the Aspire Clarksville program to observe community leadership in action.

    A scholarship was established for students minoring in the non-PELP leadership track.
