Welcome
to the Clarksville/Montgomery County Science Fair
March
29-30, 2001
APSU
Armory
Sponsored by the
Clarksville Department of Electricity
in conjunction with
Austin Peay State
University
Montgomery County
Board of Education
You will be viewing approximately 425 individual student
projects from the Montgomery County, Clarksville Academy, and the Fort Campbell
school systems in grades K-12. The
participants were chosen by their individual schools, and in many cases they
represent the winners in local school science fairs. Students in grades K-8 compete by grade level; high school
(grades 9-12) students compete by project category.
In these projects students have utilized the scientific
method to solve or prove a specific research problem. The scientific method includes the observation of a problem or
question and organized experimentation to answer the question or solve the
problem. Through this process students
utilize and develop higher-level thinking skills.
