  Group X - Class Descriptions
  Our group fitness classes are held in one of our four fitness studios. They are free with a valid Govs ID card. Please arrive prior to the scheduled start time. For your safety, late entries are prohibited. Schedule and instructors are subject to change.

10-minutes Abs: Join us for a super high intensity class designed to give you a complete ab workout in less time.
Aqua Intensity: This is a class that uses the water's resistance for strength gains as well as a cardio component for toning benefits. Prepare to be challenged with fun medium to high intensity cardio intervals. Part of this class will meet in the deep end.
Action Abs: Work your core like never before. In this 30-minute session, your abs and back will get a hard core workout with stabilizing movements and strength training. So come and join us after a cardio workout to add a little strength to your core.
Ballroom Dance: Join our accomplished instructor to learn and practice traditional ballroom dances.  
Belly Dancing: Learn the art of belly dancing or "Raqs Sharqi" as it is called in its Middle Eastern homeland. This class is for all ages, body types and levels. Students will learn the basic traditional movements of the hips and build dance vocabulary.
BoSu®: Focus on core stability, balance and postural alignment in a fun and youthful environment.
Break Dancing:
Butts-n-Guts: This 30-minute class strictly concentrates on your tummy, hips, thighs and butt by using fun strength training moves to sculpt and define.
Cardio Sculpt: Sculpt and tone your body with high intensity cardio and various weights. This class focuses on abs, butt and thighs.
Climbing: A totally different group fitness experience! This class will challenge your body and mind while building muscle strength and endurance. A certified climbing instructor will help you learn the fundamentals of rock climbing while getting a great workout. All climbing classes meet at the climbing wall. All levels welcome!
Indoor Cycling: Get ready to sweat! Indoor cycling consists of instructor-lead classes on specialized stationary bikes. All classes will follow an all-terrain format using flats, hills, sprints, jumps, and variations. Participants are required to bring water to this intense cardio class.
Instructor's Choice: Mix it up each week with a different instructor and format. See personnel for schedule.
Jiu Jitsu: Brought to you by SSF Submission Academy, get a total body workout while learning traditional Jiu Jitsu techniques.
Kenpo Karate: Kenpo is a system of self defense based on logic and the scientific study of movement. This allows you to get a great martial art workout that combines efficient movement with intense speed. * Will begin the week of Sep. 8 *
Latin Dance: This class is the perfect fusion of Latin dance movements and music! The exciting combinations and great music will be a fun way to get your exercise in.
Muay Thai: Join us to learn something new and get a great workout. A form of Thai kickboxing that will teach you how to use your "eight limbs" in a fighting format.
• Pilates: Pilates offers a functional approach to strength and flexibility training. Pilates exercises are created to strengthen abdominal and back muscles by developing pelvic stability and abdominal control. The mind/body awareness developed in Pilates will improve your posture and form in all areas of your fitness program.
R&B Line Dance: Brush up on your dance skills and share these and other short routines during social gatherings while engaging in continuous cardio workout.
Yoga: Yoga is a series of carefully designed postures with a strong emphasis on breathing, concentration and flexibility. You'll strengthen the body while calming the mind.
Step-n-Sculpt: An interval class that combines two all-time favorites. This class alternates fat-burning step with toning and strengthening exercises to give you the best of both worlds. Burn fat and tone those muscles all in one class!
Cardio Crunch: Get ready to work hard during this 30-minute class of intense cardio
Legs & Abs: Focus strictly on abs and lower body trouble spots in this energetic class.
