Healthy Mind Healthy Body

The Healthy Mind Healthy Body Challenge is a free semester-long incentive program to help motivate you to make healthier choices each day. Earn points by participating in group fitness classes, intramurals, going on Adventure Recreation trips, and attending workshops and special events, February 9th - April 24th, 2015.

Each participant must complete a Healthy Mind Healthy Body Entry Form

Point tracking is maintained at the Foy Center service desk. Just ask our staff for the binder when you need to log
 your activities. See the sample Tracking Log and the Spring calendar for a list of events, dates and their point values for Spring 2015. Point values are listed below:

  • Adventure Recreation
    • 5 points per trip (i.e., hiking, canoeing, whitewater rafting, backpacking, etc.)
    • Bouldering/Climbing: 3 points each 30 minutes attempted
  • Fitness
    • Group Fitness: 1 point per class
    • Personal Workout (at Foy): 2 points per hour
    • Wellness Workshop: 2 points per class
    • Boot Camp: 20 points per 6-week session (if missing no more than 3 days)
    • Personal Training: 2 points per session
    • Fitness Assessment: 2 points each 
    • Monthly Muscle Challenge: 1 point per attempt
  • Intramural Sports
    • 4 points per league
    • 3 points per tournament
  • Special Events
    •  Wellness Expo, Breast Cancer 5k, Polar Plunge, Group Fitness Sampler: 2 points each
    • Run @ Work Day, Weightlifting Competition, Breast Cancer 5k: 3 points each
  • Sport Clubs
    • 5 points per club
