General Info Starting a Sport Club

In addition to the current clubs listed below, Wrestling and Lacrosse have previously been active organizations and are looking for new leadership to continue their legacy.

Bass Fishing

This organization exists to provide an open, comfortable, friendly, yet competitive environment for all students of Austin Peay. While we understand that our generation, in many cases, has forgotten many traditions of the past, we hope to preserve and expand the sport of competitive bass fishing, and we hope to use our organization to re-establish the interest and passion for fishing. We also hope to represent Austin Peay in invitational and nationally recognized tournaments and events. Like us on Facebook!

Club Ultimate

This club is our coed Ultimate Frisbee team. These participants took an everyday hobby and transformed it into a competitive club team, hosting its first-ever tournament this past fall. You can check us out in the Dunn Bowl most evenings.

Coed Soccer

This team originally started out with men-only; however, in a short period of time we have grown into a Coed Soccer team. This organization has united a group of individuals who love soccer and wants to develop into a respectable and competitive club team. Practices are typically held Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays. We hosted Belmont University in our inaugural game on December 1, 2012.

Women's Basketball

The purpose of this organization is to unite a group of individuals who are passionate about basketball and mold them into both a recreational and competitive basketball team. We travel and compete against other universities in “regular season” games and tournaments. Typically, practices are held 3 times per week. The team opened its inaugural season playing Eastern Kentucky University on September 30, 2012.

Women's Volleyball

This club strives to be a competitive women’s volleyball team available to students enrolled at Austin Peay State University and to be an active and competitive sports club on campus. We are currently looking for new members. Please contact the officers for more information.
