Transfer Students



 
Pre-registration Checklist 
  
Transfer students may use this checklist as a brief summary of what you need to complete your registration.  Click on the underlined items to link to more detailed information. 
Submit an admission application and official transcript(s) from each institution you have attended.  A guide to equivalent courses at Tennessee and other area colleges has been compiled to help facilitate your transfer to Austin Peay.   Click here to find out more.
  • Submit ALL transcripts even if no credit is awarded
  • Official transcripts are identified as those sent from institution to Austin Peay State University, Office of Admissions, P.O. Box 4548, Clarksville, TN 37044.
  • Hand carried transcripts are NOT ACCEPTED.
  • If you are admitted as a transfer student, your cumulative GPA will include hours attempted and quality points earned from all regionally accredited institutions. 
Attend preregistration session for Transfer students (date is listed in the current University Academic Calendar) or contact the Office of Admission or Office of the Registrar for applicable date. During the pre-registration session, you will:
  • Meet with an advisor
  • Obtain Alternate PIN.  Please keep this number in a secure place because you will need the number to make any adjustments to your schedule.  Alternate PIN's change each semester.
  • Pre-register for classes.  You may pre-register for classes online  through AP Self Service.  

  

Prior to preregistration, check AP Web for Registration Holds.   All Registration Holds must be removed prior to preregistration. The types of Holds that can prevent you from preregistering are (list is not inclusive):
  • Financial Aid debt
  • Graduate maximum hours
  • Health Services fees due
  • High school deficiencies (if you have not filed a Plan with the Office of the Registrar)
  • Library fines/overdue books
  • Traffic fines
After preregistration, you may make adjustments to your schedule online using APWeb.  Any adjustment to your schedule made after the date fee statements are printed will not appear on your statement, but for verification you may check your current schedule on APWeb.
   
Fee Statement/Fee Payment
  • Summer term - Fee statements are mailed to campus P.O. Box or available at the cashier window in Browning Bldg, if no campus P.O. Box.
  • Spring/Fall semesters - Fee statements mailed to preregistered students (mailed to campus P.O. Box or if no campus P.O. Box sent to permanent address.
  • Several ways to pay fees
Validate Your Classes
If you DO NOT pay your fees or have your credited statement (Financial Aid /Scholarship) stamped or validated/confirmed, through AP Web, even if you have a zero (0) or credit balance by the end of Fee Payment activity, your classes/registration will be cancelled.
