Change. Everywhere. Always. You drive to school.
Your position changes with time; your gas mileage changes with speed; your
stopping distance changes with reaction time; your reaction time changes
... well, you get the picture. There is no aspect of life that is
unaffected by change. Calculus is a way to model and study change.
From interest rates and inflation to satellites orbiting the earth, the
study of our world involves the study of change and, hence, calculus.

 | This course fulfills the general education core requirement for
mathematics for students following the 2004-5 catalog or later.
Math 1910 is also required of all mathematics majors and minors and in many
other technical courses of study. |
Prerequisite
Four years high school mathematics, including trigonometry.

Course Description
Elements of plane analytical geometry, functions, limits and
derivatives of algebraic and trigonometric functions with applications,
integration, and applications.
