Math 1530 -- Elements of Statistics
3 credit hours
This course fulfills the general education core requirement for mathematics for students following the 2004-5 catalog or later.

Prerequisite

High school Algebra I, geometry, and Algebra II.

 

 

Course Description

Measures of central tendency and dispersion for descriptive statistics, estimations of confidence intervals for means and proportions, probability distributions, hypothesis testing, analysis of variance, the least squares method, and correlation analysis.
